What was the highlight of Hotel Riu Gran Canaria
good location, friendly staff and nice facilities
Staff are very friendly and helpful, treated me without discrimination. Loads of activities that are easily accessible- exercise, painting and so on. It is a very good idea to provide shower room for guess especially who have checked out but stay at hotel while waiting for their airport time. very good system for bath towel changes. Many thanks to Natalia- receptionist in Grand Canarias.
All specialties restaurants are already booked up so we could not get into. It might be because some guess already booked in advance well before they actually arrived at hotel!! I and my friends would like to suggest that the booking to all restaurants should be 24 hours ahead so all guess will get equal chance.***** Could I suggest a common room that we put all luggage after check out- to be locked up. Night entertainment is also good but could be better for younger generation, at the moment- mainly for older generation, again can understand as those age groups are main guess! might need more light in garden as it was very dark at night. It would be exotic if eastern food - Bao, ramen, Pha, thai food, fried noodle, and others are included in buffet (currently tiny selection of sushi and curry are included). Prices are big different between RUI class member and non members.

Relaxing holiday, great hotel
Hotel was very modern. Nice swimming pools. Can help yourself to beers, wines, soft drinks at different spots as well as being able to go to a manned bar and get cocktails etc. Good food choices, italian and asian themed buffet restaurants were delicious.. Lots of staff and all friendly. Different entertainment on every night. There's a sports bar that shows all major games.
Poor beer selection, only amstel or flavoured cruzcampo. There's a steak restaurant but there was no availability to dine there during our 4 night stay.

Great hotel in a great location
Food was very good and staf efficient and friendly
Sun loungers uncomfortable Towels are totally worn out and need to be replaced by hotel I was disappointed that the hotel had no arrangement with local golf club as my son got a few months ago with a different hotel to get great value golf especially when RIU mentioned golf as a facility
